A new playset based on the contemporary Star Tours vehicles will debut at the Disney Store on May 4th.
Star Speeder 1000 Toy Set

The newly released Starspeeder 1000 toy set offers an enhanced take on its predecessor. Starspeeder 3000 set released last year. Though essentially the same toy, this new vehicle is painted to reflect the 2011 update to Star Tours that turned it into Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.

Rather than being gray with blue stripes, the vehicle is predominantly orange and white.

Apart from the new paintjob, the main distinction between this set and the Starspeeder 3000 lies in the addition of a C-3PO figurine rather than Captain Rex (also known as RX-24 or DJ R-3X). Following the 2011 upgrade to Star Tours, C-3PO took over as the vehicle's pilot, stepping into the role previously held by Rex.
The interior seating in the Starspeeder is colored blue rather than orange. These seats can accommodate up to 25 scaled-down figures measuring 3.75 inches each, complete with functional elastic seatbelts.

Along with the C-3PO figure, this toy features lines spoken by C-3PO. It also comes with an R2-D2 figurine that slots onto the top of the speeder. Footage from "Star Tours: The Adventures Continue" is displayed on the 4.75-inch LCD screen located within the cockpit area.

Other electronic features include opening doors playing the Star Tours chime, headlights, thruster lights, and cannon lights.
The play set will be available on DisneyStore.com at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET on May the 4th. Disney didn’t announce a price but the Starspeeder 3000 was $300. Check out our TikTok of the original toy below.
Additional items set to be available or launching shortly at the Disney Store for May the 4th will feature a Spirit Jersey , dated collectibles , LEGO sets , and the Hoth collection .
