Students Receive Specialized Tools in OFTC Foundation’s Annual TOOLS Program

Seventeen OFTC students received specialized equipment needed to kick off their careers at the 26th annual TOOLS for Outstanding Occupational Leadership Students (TOOLS) Program, which took place at the college’s Dublin location on Wednesday, April 23.

The 2025 TOOLS Program was sponsored by The Louie and Evelyn Livingston Family Foundation and corporate-level donors were Fairview Park Hospital, Morris Bank, Smurfit-WestRock, and the OFTC Foundation, Inc.

“This event is always a special one for us,” said Kathy Aaron, OFTC’s Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and the Foundation. “Seeing the excitement and gratitude of these students as they receive the tools they need for their careers is a powerful reminder of our mission at OFTC—to equip students for success.”

Graduates were provided with specific tools needed for their respective career paths, ensuring an easy shift from academia to professional life without having to buy crucial work-related equipment themselves. The students obtained various necessities such as stethoscopes, toolboxes, welding helmets, scrubs, lab coats, and other important materials pertinent to their field of study and upcoming professions.
